June 7-13, 2021, The Shasta Historical Society is hosting its 8th annual fundraiser, A Taste of History. This year's event is different from past events in that we are conducting a virtual auction this year. We would have loved to host a big party with food and music as we have done in the past, but that will have to wait for another time.

Each year A Taste of History generates a a large portion of our annual operating budget and, especially with all that has happened this last year, we anticipate it will be difficult to survive at our current capacity without the generosity of our community.  We are a private non-profit whose mission is "To actively preserve, promote, and bring to life the history of Shasta County". We have many plans for improving and creating more accessible educational programs and exhibits for the 2021-2022 fiscal year. Your support will help us make them happen and give back to our community. The Shasta Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, and donation's are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
