When and Where is the event?
- Taste of History 2023 will be held on Thursday May 4th from 5:30-9pm at the Odd Fellows building (1504 Market Street, Redding CA, 96001) on the main floor and in the neighboring ally.
What about Parking?
- Downtown Redding has been experiencing a lot of changes recently, including its paid parking program. Monday-Friday parking is $1 per hour from 8am-6pm. The doors to our event open at 5:30pm so paying for parking may be required. There are areas for free parking any day and time though walking from the free areas might be required. Parking anywhere is free after 6pm and free any day and time for those who have hadicap parking privileges. If you have more questions on where to park and how to pay. Buying more than 1 ticket or a table but I do not know who my guests will be?
- It's okay if you do not know who will fill the seats right away if you purchase more than 1 ticket! After your payment has been processed, an email will be sent with an RSVP link that you can access at anytime and fill in the names and information of your guests when you figure out who is going. Please do this as soon as possible. The earlier we have that information the easier the check in process at the event will be and therefore less time you will spend waiting in line!
How will bidding work?
- If you have been to our event before you know we have altered our silent auction. The items up for auction will be visible during the event but all bidding will be done virtually through your phone! So what does this mean? During the registration process make sure to enter in your cell phone number even if it isn't required and make sure to bring your phone to the event. Links to the auction site will be texted to you so can bid the moment you get there and if there is an item you really want, you will receive text alerts if someone out bids so you can make a new bid before the auction closes!
What if I do not have a Cell Phone/Smart Phone or forget to bring it to the event?
- That's okay! We will have volunteers around the silent auction tables to help you bid on packages! The only down side is you wont receive text updates on the items you bid on before the auction closes.
